Alcohol Policies
I heard you have 3 martini limit, is this true?
This is true, and although we do not stop alcohol service to our guests after three martinis, we do limit martini consumption to a maximum of 3 per person. This is due to the high alcohol content of each martini, which is equivalent to two mixed drinks, 2 wines, or 2 beers.
Can I drink more than three if I am not driving?
Our three martini limit is enforced regardless if you are driving or not.
Side note: We will always stop alcohol service to guests ho show signs of intoxication, regardless of if they are driving or not, or regardless of having only one or two drinks. This is for the safety of our customers, as well as the law in Massachusetts.
Do you accept out-of-state driver’s licenses?
We do accept valid out-of-state licenses if the license only at the discretion of a management on a case to case basis. If the authenticity cannot be validated, then the license will not be accepted.
Side note: Out-of-state IDs are never accepted.
What is an acceptable form of identification to drink?
We do accept valid Massachusetts driver’s license, valid country passports, valid US military ID, and valid Massachusetts Liquor ID cards.
Side note: Massachusetts ID cards are not accepted. (Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 138, sec34B)
When is your last call?
Alcohol cannot be served in the town of Reading after midnight, so last call is approximately at 1150 on the weekends and may vary slightly depending on how many people are in the restaurant at the time last call is given. On days that we close earlier, such as Sun-Wed, last call is usually 30 min prior to closing time.
